You know the ones. The days where it\u2019s too hot to think and where it seems like the sun will never set. Kids are also starting to get a bit restless &#8211; after a couple of <a href=\"http:\/\/pay4schoolstuff.com\/blog\/the-many-benefits-of-summer-school\/\">weeks with no school<\/a> the excitement of it all has worn off and now there\u2019s just a lot of questions (usually involving snacks and\/or having a friend over) and way too many instances of \u201cI\u2019m bored\u201d being said\/whined\/sung around the house. <em>Your kids haven\u2019t hit the <a href=\"http:\/\/pay4schoolstuff.com\/blog\/summer-boredom-busters\/\">singing with boredom<\/a> stage yet? Then let the kids loose creating patterns with the beads (or just stringing them in whatever random order they please). Once they\u2019re done (when they have about 2 inches left), string on the bells and tie them off. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Finally, tie the string\/wire\/fishing line from one end of the stick to the other, leaving enough slack for it to be used as a hanger. No squirt guns handy? Simply punch a hole in the bottom of a plastic cup, thread the clothes line through it, and tie the clothes line between two trees (or other stationary objects). If you\u2019ve got the room for it (and multiple squirt guns), you can create two tracks by just\u2026 doing it twice! Or three times &#8211; the possibilities are endless.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you\u2019ve only got one track ready to go, you\u2019ll need to have the kids take turns spraying the water into the cup and timing how long it takes it to get from one end to the other.
