Teachers and parents alike are both feeling the heat from restless, uneasy kids who are staring at calendars and clocks, counting down until they get their first taste of freedom.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To make the time pass a little quicker we\u2019ve rounded up a few of our favorite winter-themed crafts and activities for your kiddos to take part in.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Cotton-bud Snowflakes<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is a great craft for the littlest of children as it\u2019s fairly easy and there is no \u201cperfect\u201d snowflake, but older kids will have a great time trying to make the fanciest flake possible.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.activityvillage.co.uk\/sites\/default\/files\/images\/cotton_bud_snowflakes_on_wall.jpg?resize=440%2C497\" alt=\"\" width=\"440\" height=\"497\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>Equipment Needed:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3 cotton buds per snowflake<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">White or silver glitter<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Glue<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gem(s)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sticky tack or thread to hang<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Instructions:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dip each end of the cotton buds in glue and then into glitter, and let dry.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Use sticky tack to join the middle of your cotton buds together so the ends spread out in 6 points.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cover one side of the sticky tack with a large gem, and use the other to stick the snowflake to the wall or window.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Note: You can fancy up the snowflakes by adding gems to the outer edges as well, or possible some crinkly cellophane. But don\u2019t add too many gems, or the entire thing won\u2019t be able to support its own weight and could come apart!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(via <\/span><\/i><a href=\"http:\/\/www.activityvillage.co.uk\/cotton-bud-snowflakes-craft\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Activity Village<\/span><\/i><\/a><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">)<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<h3><b>Golf Ball Snowman<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The instructions for making these adorable little guys call for using strong glue, but we recommend stacking the two golf balls on top of each other inside a sock, twisting the sock in the middle (to create an indent) and then cutting off the top of the sock and hot-gluing it closed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.activityvillage.co.uk\/sites\/default\/files\/images\/golf_ball_snowman.jpg?resize=220%2C314\" alt=\"\" width=\"220\" height=\"314\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>Equipment Needed:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Two old golf balls<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strong glue<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Film canister<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ribbon<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Paint (black and orange)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sticky tack<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Instructions:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Glue the golf balls together. Glue on the canister so it makes a hat.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When the glue is dry, paint eyes, mouth, buttons and a carrot nose on to your snowman. Tie a piece of ribbon around the snowman\u0092s neck for a scarf.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Use a bit of sticky tack on the bottom to help your snowman stand up.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you and your kiddos make any of these crafts, we\u2019d love to see them!
