Our commitment to our administrators and parent users is strong, and in an effort to remain as competitive as possible and offer you the best experience possible, our processing fees are now 2.99% + .26 (cents) per transaction. This puts Pay4SchoolStuff.com right on par with other competitors in the space, while remaining true to our purpose of making parent and school relations as pain-free as possible.
In addition to that huge change and our makeover, we’re also offering several different versions of Pay4SchoolStuff with additional functionality, depending upon what you’re organization is looking for. If you are looking for a management solution with processing and information only, you can apply to use our Basic version for free. Yes, no fees at all. Or you can try out our Plus or Pro versions to get access to all of the features. From Point of Sale payments, to refund capabilities to recurring billing options and more, it’s all here.

I appreciate you lowering the % rate but you then increased the per transaction fee. Essentially, this now costs more for parents. On a $10 transaction the cost will be .55, where before it was .54. I know it’s only .01 but your announcement is misleading. I am trying to get this set up at our school and parents are not accepting of the current fee.

Hi Kristen – Thanks for writing! You’ve posed an interesting question – we’ll break it down for you:
The average sale on the site is around $100. With the original fees (3.75% + 16 cents) this $100 used to be $103.91 (the original $100 + $3.75 (3.75%) + 26 cents = $103.91).
With the lower fees (2.99% + 26 cents) this purchase is $103.25 (the original $100 + $2.99 (2.99%) + 26 cents = $103.25). That’s 66 cents less expensive.
